Thruough this site you can obtain a report from each of the three companies. You have the right to get a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months from each of the three credit companies. Most companies will also allow you to file online disputes for all inncorrect items reflected on the credit report.
You have the right to challenge the accuracy of your credit report at any time. The credit companies must reinvestigate any disputed items at no charge to you. The reinvestigation must be completed within a reasonable amount of time. Thirty days constitutes a “reasonable amount of time” unless you are notified that the reinvestigation will take additional time. If the credit company finds an error they must delete or correct the information immediately. If the credit company cannot or do not confirm the challenged item within a reasonable amount of time then it must be deleted from the record.
